Welcome to i-tenerife the website unashamedly dedicated to the wondrous island of Tenerife, the "Island of eternal springtime", not only do we have the best climate in the world we also have so many other attractions that it's no lie to say Tenerife really does have something for everyone. We all know that Tenerife offers sun, sea and sand as do many other destinations but Tenerife can offer so many other diverse attractions from whale and dolphin watching, there's a school of pilot whales that live just off the Southern shore of Tenerife, to submarine excursions (the sub has viewing portholes for clients), from Scuba diving in lovely clear, warm water to kite surfing and windsurfing as well as traditional surfing. Away from the sea there are some incredible landscapes to be seen, from the dry, almost desert like, sun baked South to the verdant green of the Oratava valley in the North, to the hidden mountain villages of Masca and the Mercedes mountains and of course to top it all off we have the National Park of Las Cañadas and its incredible moon like landscape dominated by Spain's highest mountain El Teide. There are myriad tours by coach, bus, 4 x 4, car, mountain bike, quad bike and of course on foot, there's also a very strong community of mountain and rock climbers in Tenerife.
Culturally, Tenerife has a world renowned symphony orchestra which is based in the fabulously architectured Tenerife auditorium in the Capital city of Santa Cruz, rather like a smaller version of the Sydney opera house, as visitors enter the city of Santa Cruz from the South of Tenerife the auditorium and its twin "droop snoots" demands attention from everyone. Tenerife carnaval is also one of the largest in the world after Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Notting Hill in London, there are very few people who, having witnessed the spectacle of the ten days of carnival in Tenerife, go away with anything other than a feeling of amazement that such a small city can generate such a large carnival atmosphere.
There's no wonder that despite the decline of the birth-rate among the local Tinerfeños the population of Tenerife continues to grow, with the ever growing number of property owners who winter in the wonderful climate of Tenerife and the constant demand of younger people from all countries of the European Union who dream of a life in the sunshine the pressure on Tenerife and its infrastructure is high. There’s also a healthy demand for property in Tenerife even in times when there's less demand in other countries, there are fluctuations in the Tenerife property market of course but it fluctuates between a shortage of good properties for sale and a slightly slower tempo, it’s never difficult to sell a good quality property in a good location in Tenerife.
